Eric Grant is manager for API Creative Media, a department launched in mid 2007, that provides Angus breeders with marketing communications, video and photographic services.

Grant began his agricultural career with Red Mountain Ranches, a cow-calf and purebred Hereford operation in western Colorado. During and after college, he wrote for Simmental Shield and Kansas Horseman magazines. He joined the National Cattlemen's Association as assistant editor in 1990 and edited American Salers from 1991 to 1994.

In the mid 1990s, he became a contributing editor for Farm Journal Media, where he reported widely on international trade, seed stock and natural resource issues in the western United States. Since 1995, his articles and columns have appeared in more than 100 publications annually, including Angus Journal, Range and American Cowboy.

Grant has also provided marketing, advertising and communications consultation for a wide range of clients, including Certified Angus Beef, US West, Houghton Mifflin Publishing, The Nature Conservancy, Sotheby's International, Pfizer, World Dairy Expo, Monsanto and DuPont.

Eric lives with his wife Pat and son Johnny in St. Joseph, Mo.
