LaVera Spire joined the circulation department in December 1999. She returns as a veteran Angus Journal employee who began work in the American Angus Association public relations department in 1966, transferred to the Angus Journal and left as the advertising coordinator in 1982.

She was raised on a commercial Angus farm in northwest Missouri and has an appreciation of the agriculture industry and the people who form that community.
