Mathew Elliott joined Angus Productions Inc. (API) in January 2007 as an assistant editor. His responsibilities include interviewing, proofing and magazine production, writing articles, and representing the Angus Journal and Angus Beef Bulletin at industry events.

Elliott is a December 2006 graduate of Kansas State University (K-State) with dual bachelor's degree in agricultural journalism and communication, and animal science and industries. While at K-State, he was president of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity and a member of Wildcats Forever student alumni association.

Elliott is a native of Hiawatha, Kansas, where his family operates a cow-calf operation and raises corn and soybeans. Growing up, Elliott was active in both 4-H and FFA, showing purebred cattle.
