Sharon Mayes started with the American Angus Association in May
1979, originally working in the Public Relations Department sending out news releases
and printing pictures.
Mayes transferred to Angus Productions Inc. (API) in 1987. Before accepting the
position of special services coordinator in 1994, she was a proofreader and photo
coordinator.
Mayes is a native of the Midwest and grew up in Maryville, Mo. She and her husband,
Oak, have four children.
